REALLY, if you haven't joined.. do!! There are only two of us that post at all, and I really think that the idea behind the community is good. Just a place where people post their sketches. And it doesn't even have to be good stuff.. it can just be little doodles or cartoons, or whatever.

SEE MORE HEREI might be moving my blog from crashwithme.org to my LJ here (hence the layout remix). I love blogging so much and I love designing layouts, but keeping up with my blog on CWM is harder than it is on LJ. I know not everyone has a livejournal account, but people who don't can still comment here and leave their site url. I just feel like I'm neglecting my blog and the people who comment.
If I do move my blog here officially then I will make crashwithme a full-on hosting site. For awhile I may have some index portal page so people don't get lost/confused, but eventually the index will just be the index for my hosting site. Also, my hosting site will get a revamp so it looks more professional.
If I did do this then I'd still have a blogroll link list like at CWM.
I don't know.. this just seems like less of a commitment, which is what I need right now.
Let me know what you think.
PS: can someone help me with the css for this layout? I can't figure out why the livejournal navigation bar along the top is that color ^ The font is a light grey so you can't see it, but I searched the css and couldn't find it.
TOTE BAG - Spruce up the average tote bag with personal touches.
-Buy a solid white/tan canvas tote, you can find these at many craft stores, or if you cannot find one then buy a cheap, plain tote like this one from somewhere like Target or Walmart.

-Hand sew (or fabric-glue) felt material shapes onto the bag in any design you choose. You may be able to find pre-cute shapes, otherwise they're easy enough to cut yourself.

-Last but not least, use iron on letters to complete the bag. You may want to do this before or after you place the felt shapes, depending on which you want to design the look on.

Gift in a jar - This site has a million jar-related gift ideas!
My favorites are the cookie mixes because the majority of the ingredients you already have at home and it's only enough for one batch of cookies so it's extremely inexpensive and a good idea if you're on a time-crunch.

Homemade Journal
Take many paper-like materials (a brown bag, scrap paper, recycled paper, etc), cut them all to the same size square-rectangle shape you want, and bind them together with yarn or ribbon. Make sure that for the cover you use a sturdy material like cardstock.
Decorate the cover with ribbon, lace, collage, paint.. anything you can think of. I recently made a cover by mixing sand with glue and then covering the front and back.
Altered journals are huge in mixed media and examples are easy to find all over the net.
